Todos los temas eran interesantes y cada uno de ellos tenía una finalidad académica enriquecedora para la profesión de arquitecto. No obstante, la elección del Tema de Historia de la Arquitectura no fue producto del azar. Desde los primeros años de mi carrera los cursos de Historia de la Arquitectura habían producido en mi un interés creciente en el tema, cuya canalización era posible a través de un trabajo de investigación en éste campo. El trabajo se inició en la primera reunión con la profesora guía, Srta. Myriam Waisberg, en la que se plantearon los objetivos del trabajo individual, el método de trabajo a seguir, que porteriormente iria siendo presentado en reuniones de trabajo posteriores y las restricciones que era necesario respetar por las condicionantes de tiempo y de planificación académica. Tras ello, todos los alumnos nos abocamos a la búsqueda de una vivienda de la época para la realización del estudio. Tras algunos recorridos exhaustivos del barrio, escogí finalmente la vivienda de Avenida Quebrada Verde Nº 192. El primer contacto con la propietaria fue afortunado. Comprendió la intensión y el alcance del trabajo y accedió a permitirme realizarlo en su vivienda. De inmediato di comienzo a la tarea de medirla, trabajo que me llevarla cerca de dos meses.The choice of the Architecture Theme to be carried out in 1984 was not easy. All the themes were interesting and each one of them had an enriching academic purpose for the profession of architect. However, the choice of the History of Architecture Theme was not a matter of chance. Since the early years of my career, the History of Architecture courses had produced in me a growing interest in the subject, which could be channeled through research work in this field. The work began at the first meeting with the supervising professor, Miss Myriam Waisberg, in which the objectives of the individual work were set, the work method to be followed, which would later be presented in subsequent working meetings, and the restrictions that were necessary to respect due to the time and academic planning constraints. After that, all the students focused on the search for a housing unit of the era for the study. After some exhaustive tours of the neighborhood, I finally chose the housing unit at Avenida Quebrada Verde Nº 192. The first contact with the owner was fortunate. She understood the intention and scope of the work and agreed to allow me to carry it out in her housing unit.
