Abstract
El hombre y la obra de arquitectura se unen en el tiempo y la Historia de la Arquitectura es la historia materializada del hombre, aquí se vuelcan sus sentimientos, su cultura, su sociedad, su política y su economía.Una obra nos obsequia y nos recrea con detalles es de forma, color y materia, pasando a constituir la artística expresión del hombre en la Tierra. La Historia del Arte en sí, seduce, es como conocer y valorizar el caminar del hombre a través del tiempo, en forma espontánea. Siempre me sentí cautivada de ver que en la monumentalidad de la arquitectura queda la huella de alguien que estuvo en la Tierra, una huella que perdura, testigo de algo que paso y que a nosotros toca conocer; y por su intermedio hacernos partícipes de nuestra historia. Mi inquietud persiste; descubrir y conocer al hombre a través del Arte, que considero lo refleja fielmente en el transcurso de las épocas. De ahí, la predilecci6n por el tema de la historia de una obra de Arquitectura enclavada en el misterioso Valparaíso. Esto resulto como una experiencia mucho más interesante y valiosa de lo que creí, al iniciarla; durante el transcurso de la investigación, el conocer a cada momento nuevos datos e informaciones, significo la revelación de muchas cosas nuevas que dejaban una alegre satisfacción silenciosa.
Humans and architectural works are united over time, and the History of Architecture is the materialized history of humans. This is where their feelings, culture, society, politics, and economy are expressed. A work of architecture offers us a glimpse into the artistic expression of humans on Earth. The history of art itself is seductive, allowing us to spontaneously learn about and appreciate the journey of humans through time. I have always been captivated by the idea that the monumentality of architecture leaves the mark of someone who once existed on Earth. This mark endures, witnessing something that happened and that we are now able to learn about. Through this mark, we become part of our history. My curiosity persists; I want to discover and understand humans through art, which I believe faithfully reflects them over the course of time. This is why I chose to focus on the history of an architectural work located in the mysterious city of Valparaíso. This experience turned out to be much more interesting and valuable than I had imagined when I started it. During the course of my research, learning new information at every turn revealed many new things that left me with a silent sense of joy.
