dc.description.abstractLa composición volumétrica del edificio responde expresivamente a las condiciones del terreno. Su ubicación en una esquina, con una elegante torre angular, lo convierte en un auténtico mirador urbano. Desde sus elevaciones, se puede apreciar tanto el complejo vial animado de la colina como la bahía, visible a lo lejos. El tratamiento sobrio de las elevaciones se logra mediante un revestimiento horizontal de madera y una disposición equilibrada de los vanos. La dominante vertical, junto con el juego de las cubiertas y la torre esbelta, le confiere una tensión perceptible hacia arriba, contrarrestada por la masa de los volúmenes. En el interior, también predomina la madera, con un tratamiento más detallado que en el exterior. Los entablados de piso y techo, enmarcados por guardapolvos y cornisas, se combinan con zócalos perimetrales decorados con casetones y escaleras con barandas labradas. Las puertas son del tipo atablerado, destacando la puerta principal y la mampara, cuyos vidrios biselados exhiben un motivo floral decorativo.

dc.description.abstractThe volumetric composition of the building responds expressively to the conditions of the terrain. Its location on a corner, with an elegant angular tower, makes it an authentic urban viewpoint. From its elevations, one can appreciate both the lively road complex of the hill and the bay, visible in the distance. The sober treatment of the elevations is achieved through a horizontal wood cladding and a balanced arrangement of openings. The vertical dominant, together with the play of the roofs and the slender tower, gives it a perceptible tension upwards, counteracted by the mass of the volumes. Inside, wood also predominates, with a more detailed treatment than on the exterior. The floor and ceiling entablature, framed by skirting boards and cornices, are combined with perimeter skirting boards decorated with coffers and stairs with carved railings. The doors are of the paneled type, with the main door and the partition panel standing out for their fine workmanship, whose beveled glass exhibits a decorative floral motif.
